BROW CORRECTION BEFORE AND AFTER
Semi-permanent. Corrected. Beautiful.
Old, faded, or discoloured brow tattoos do not have to be permanent. This page shows real brow correction before and after results, so you can see what is possible when grey, red, or mis-shaped brows are brought back to soft, natural definition. All in a calm, private setting in Calgary. I specialise in brow colour correction and camouflage for clients who already have permanent makeup. Many correction bookings are for ashy, grey, or reddish brows that no longer match your skin tone, hair, or current style. If that is you, you are in the right place.

Why Brow Correction?
Old pigment. New you.

You look in the mirror and the shape is almost right, but the colour is off. Maybe your brows healed cool and ashy, or they have faded to an orange or red halo. In some lighting they look sharp and blocky. In photos, they pull focus.
That is what time, pigment choice, and past technique can do to permanent brows. Pigments shift as they age. Skin changes too. What worked on your face years ago might not work now.
Eyebrow tattoo removal is not always the only option. Brow colour correction and camouflage can soften harsh work, adjust unwanted tones, and rebuild a fresh, defined brow that looks like it was always meant to be there.
What Brow Colour Correction Can Change
Correct. Camouflage. Refresh.
When you look through brow correction before and after photos, you will notice three main shifts:
- Colour that blends with your current hair and skin tone
- Shape that frames your eyes instead of overpowering them
- Borders that look soft in daylight, not stamped on
With correction and camouflage, I can often:
- Neutralise cool grey, blue, or green brows to a softer brown
- Warm up ashy, dull brows so they no longer look flat
- Soften or disguise old, sharp front boxes and tails
- Refine a shape that sits too low, too high, or too close together
If you already had an eyebrow tattoo and are searching “eyebrow tattoo removal before and after,” correction may be another path. Sometimes we use both: first light removal by a separate provider, then colour correction and redesign once the pigment is lighter. In your consult, I will tell you honestly which route makes sense.
The Brows by Cher Difference
Four-time certified. Artist and long-time client.
I have been on both sides of the chair. I have personally had my own brows microbladed and had powder ombré multiple times since 2007. I know what it feels like to live with brows you do not love, and what a relief it is when they finally feel right.
As a four-time certified cosmetic tattoo specialist, my training includes:
- Microblading and Eyebrow Feathering (BioTouch Canada, 2017) with colour correction, camouflage, and colour theory
- Fundamental Powder Ombré (INK x Meraki, 2020)
- Bloodborne Pathogens and Barbicide COVID-19 safety certifications
That depth of colour training matters most in correction work. Every brow is different. I study the undertone of your old pigment, your skin, and your natural hair before I decide how to correct it. No standard template. No guesswork.
And because Brows by Cher is fully mobile in Calgary, you get that level of detail without leaving home.

What to Expect: Brow Correction Before and After
You are not just booking a session. You are booking a full reset.
Before your Appointment
We start with photos and a conversation.
You send clear photos of your current brows in natural light. I ask about your history: when and where your brows were done, what pigments may have been used, and what you like and dislike about them now.
From there, I will tell you:
- Whether you are a good candidate for brow colour correction
- If you need light laser or saline removal first, and why
- What kind of before and after change is realistic for you
If we decide to move ahead, we choose a date and I come to you anywhere in Calgary, with a small mobile set-up that turns any quiet room into a brow studio.
On the Day: your Brows by Cher Experience
The set-up is simple. A reclining chair or couch, a side table, good lighting. I bring everything else.
First, we map. I cleanse your brow area, take fresh “before” photos, and draw your new brow outline carefully over your existing work. You will see the proposed shape from every angle. We refine until it feels like your face, not the trend of the moment.
Then we talk colour. I show you the correction pigments I plan to use, explain how they will neutralise your current tone, and what the healed result is expected to look like. You will know exactly why I am choosing each shade.
Numbing cream is applied and left to work. You may feel light scratching and pressure during the procedure. You can rest, chat, or put on a podcast. The pace is unhurried.
Throughout the treatment, I work in fine, controlled passes, checking symmetry and depth as I go. I am always balancing two goals: correcting what is there, and keeping the overall effect soft and natural once healed.
We finish with your “after” photos, so you can see the transformation side by side.
After: Healing, Results, and Realistic Expectations
Correction work takes time to settle.

In the first days, your brows can look darker and warmer than your final result. This is expected, especially with eyebrow tattoo correction where warmth has been added to cancel cool or grey tones.
As your skin recovers, the surface colour usually softens. You may notice light flaking as the top layer sheds and renews. Once the surface has renewed, you will start to see the true healed shade and shape come through.
One brow correction session can create a clear shift. Some cases, especially very saturated or very dark tattoos, may need a second session to fine-tune colour or add more camouflage. When I review your healed result, I will let you know if a touch-up is recommended.
Is Brow Correction Right for You?
You might be a good candidate if:
- Your brows are faded, grey, blue, green, red, or too warm
- The shape is close, but not quite right
- You do not want full eyebrow tattoo removal, just improvement
- You understand that correction aims for “much better,” not an untouched, virgin canvas
If your brows are very dark, heavily saturated, or poorly placed, I may recommend a few sessions of laser or saline removal with a trusted provider before I work over them. I will not correct over unsafe work. My goal is always long-term brow health and results you can be proud of.

FAQ: Brow Correction & Camouflage in Calgary
Everything you need to know before, during and after your appointment.
How do I know if I need eyebrow tattoo removal or correction?⌄
You will know after a proper assessment. I review clear photos of your current brows, ask about your tattoo history, and look at how dark and dense the pigment is. If the shape and placement are workable, brow colour correction with Brows by Cher in Calgary can often refresh and improve your brows without full removal.
What kind of results can I expect from brow correction before and after?⌄
You can expect softer colour, a more flattering shape, and brows that draw less unwanted attention. In many Calgary brow correction before and after cases, grey or red brows heal to a neutral brown and harsh edges look diffused. I will always explain what is realistic for your specific starting point before you book.
Will my corrected brows look too dark or too warm?⌄
They can look darker and often warmer in the early days, then soften as they settle. This is part of the process with brow colour correction, especially when canceling ashy or blue tones. I choose pigments based on how they are expected to look healed, not just on day one, and I can show you examples from my before and after gallery.
How long does brow correction take?⌄
Brow correction and camouflage appointments with Brows by Cher include consultation, mapping, colour selection, numbing, and the actual tattoo work, as well as set-up and final photos. Because I am a mobile artist in Calgary, I build in enough time so you never feel rushed.
Is brow colour correction painful?⌄
Most clients describe it as mild discomfort, more like scratching than pain. I apply a topical numbing cream and keep checking in with you throughout the session. If you have had eyebrow tattooing before in Calgary or elsewhere, brow correction usually feels similar or slightly easier because I work carefully over existing pigment.
How long will my corrected brows last?⌄
Corrected brows are still semi-permanent cosmetic tattoos. The longevity of your brow correction results depends on your skin, lifestyle, and how much pigment we are able to add. During your appointment, I will give you a more specific idea based on your skin and your Calgary sun exposure habits.
Can you correct very dark or black eyebrow tattoos?⌄
Sometimes. If the pigment is extremely dark, dense, or placed in the wrong position, I may recommend laser or saline eyebrow tattoo removal first, then colour correction once the brows have lightened. I will be clear about this after seeing your photos, so you do not waste time or money on the wrong approach.
What should I do to prepare for my brow correction appointment?⌄
You should avoid brow tinting, waxing, or skincare treatments around the brow area for a short period before your session. Skip blood-thinning medications and alcohol if your doctor allows. I will send full preparation instructions when you book with Brows by Cher so your skin is in the best possible condition for correction.
How much does brow correction and camouflage cost?⌄
Brow correction and camouflage are a premium service and are priced higher than a standard new set because of the extra assessment and technique involved. Current pricing is listed on the main Brow Correction & Camouflage treatment page. During your Calgary consult, I will confirm the exact cost and any expected follow-up.
How do I book mobile brow correction with Brows by Cher in Calgary?⌄
You can start by requesting a consultation through the site and sending clear brow photos. Once I confirm you are a candidate for brow correction, we choose a date and location that work for you in Calgary. From there, I bring the studio experience to you and guide you through every step of your brow transformation.
Your brows tell a story. If your current story does not feel like you anymore, correction can rewrite it.
When you are ready to see your own brow correction before and after in the mirror, start with a consultation.
